Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

So, you already have a thoughtful gift picked out and you know exactly which bouquet of flowers and box of chocolate you’re going to get your valentine, now you just need a place to take her for the most romantic Valentine’s Day ever.

Celebrate on the Water

There is nothing quite as romantic as watching the sun set over the water with the one you love most. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by enjoying dinner and a view while cruising along the Manhattan waterways. One of our favorite cruise lines is Hornblower. The eco-friendly luxury yacht departs from pier 40 and offers a Romantic Dinner Package that includes a 4-course sit-down dinner, a private table, a red rose, and a sparkling wine toast.

Take a Carriage Ride Through Central park

Take your lady on a classic, romantic Valentine’s Day date just like the movies.  Start the night off with a romantic dinner, flowers, and chocolate, then hop into one of Central Park’s iconic horse drawn carriages. Cuddle up with your valentine and take in the beautiful scenery of snow covered Central Park. Hop off the carriage and onto the ice skating rink to end your night by gliding along the ice with your love.

Visit a Museum

Walk hand in hand through your museum of choice with your valentine. New York City has so many museums to choose from so you and your sweetheart are sure to find one that you’ll both enjoy! Our favorites are The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The American Museum of Natural History, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Intrepid. Or for something out of the ordinary swing by the Museum of Sex in the Flatiron District. They are offering  spa-themed packages featuring stimulating exhibitions, alcoholic aphrodisiac “treatments” and the debut of our new sensual bath and body kit.

Enjoy Dinner and a Movie

This might sound a little typical, but if you spend the evening at Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, your evening will be anything but that. Snuggle up to watch a romantic movie and enjoy tableside food and beverage service. The menu features gourmet concessions, local beers, handcrafted cocktails and specialty dishes and drinks inspired by our films. Plus, if this is your first date, you can ease the tension by boozing before or after the film at one of the theater’s two bars.

New York City is a such romantic city, which makes your Valentine’s Day options endless. Regardless of where you decide to spend your Valentine’s Day, cherish your time together and make memories that will last a lifetime. (Don’t forget–Valentine’s Day isn’t the only time of year you should be showing your significant other how much you love them!)
